Our Beliefs

Our continuing purpose, as a gathering of Christians, is to serve all people with the gospel of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:18-20)

We aim to:
 (a) proclaim that law and gospel, to lead sinners to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ for life and salvation;
(b) strengthen believers in faith and Christian living through the means of grace; and
(c) equip believers as disciples, stewards, and witnesses for sharing the gospel of Jesus with our fellowmen.

This is what we mean when we say that our mission is to know, live and share peace through Jesus Christ.

We accept and confess all the canonical books of the Old and New Testaments as the verbally inspired Word of God and submit to this Word as the only infallible authority in all matters of faith and life (2 Timothy 3:15-17).

We believe, teach, and confess that our hope for heaven and eternal life with God rests alone in Jesus Christ, God's Son.  "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."  (Acts 4:12)

We believe, teach and confess, that forgiveness and salvation won by Jesus becomes ours by a Spirit-worked faith in him as our Savior, for "no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit"(1 Corinthians 12:3).

We believe, teach, and confess that salvation is by grace alone, not by personal decision or merit, but by God's mercy as a free gift."  For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- not by works, so that no one can boast."  (Ephesians 2:8-9)
